Synopsis

Set more than two decades after the original story, Freakier Friday follows Anna Coleman — now an adult, a mother to teenage Harper, and preparing to welcome Lily, her soon-to-be stepdaughter, into the family. As the two families prepare to merge, a celebratory gathering leads to an unexpected twist: a fortune-telling ritual causes a magical mishap that triggers another identity swap.

But this time, it’s not just Anna and Tess.
The chaos expands into a four-way body swap involving Anna, Tess, Harper, and Lily — creating layers of confusion, unspoken frustrations, and hilarious misunderstandings.

As each character struggles to navigate another person’s life, long-held resentments surface, hidden emotions come to light, and generational gaps become both comedic and heartfelt. The body-swap shenanigans force the new blended family to confront their fears, learn empathy, and reassess their relationships.

With nostalgic callbacks to the 2003 classic and fresh modern themes, Freakier Friday combines humor, chaos, and emotional resonance for a new era of audiences.
